The Spindletons were originally created in the Spring of 2002. My affinity for turn of the century photography and the lost, forgotten, and cast aside fueled this project. I searched out some worn frames which helped shape final pieces. They originally hung at a coffee shop that was hit by a car, during a police chase, while hanging. This scene made its way into the book as well as the small frame shop, Utrillos, that I used to frequent.
